Steve's Flight School's Lessons

Steve's lesson #1- Taking your first flight, starts you off at Meigs Field in Chicago where you will takeoff in a Cessna and make a short flight to Ohare International.. This is the place to start!


Steve's lesson #2- San Jose to San Francisco, picks up where lesson #1 left off. This flight is a little longer and a little more difficult for the beginner.

Steve's Lesson #3- More Practice with the Nav radios, teaches you some additonal functions of the radio stack and how to use them for navigation.

Steve's Lesson #4- Flying VFR, This lesson will guide you through the procedures for making a visual approach.

Steve's Lesson #5- The EFIS/CFPD systems, This lesson will teach you about some of the electronic flight systems available in Flight Simulator that can aid the beginner.

Steve's Lesson #6- Understanding Waypoints, This lesson will discuss how to use multiple waypoints during your flights

Steve's Lesson #7- Turbulence and low visability, This lesson will discuss flying in less than ideal weather conditions.

Steve's Quiz #1- Take the quiz, See how well you've learned the basics from lessons 1 through 7.

Steve's Lesson #8- Gauges on a 737, This lesson will provide an introduction to the gauges of the FS Boeing 737 and their uses.

Steve's lesson #9- 737 flight, In this lesson you will put into use the things you learned in lesson #8 and take your first flight in the 737

Steve's Lesson #10- Understanding long range navigation, In this lesson you will learn about some of the difficulties in long range flying including ocean crossings and why a straight line isn't always staright!

Steve's Lesson #11- High Altitude takeoffs, In this lesson you will learn the perils high elevation airports pose to aircraft.

Steve's Lesson #12- Using the ILS, This lesson will give you the basics to understand the instrument landing systems used today.

Steve's Fun Flight #1- Flying some passengers, In this lesson we will have a little fun as we take some passengers onashort trip

Steve's Lesson #13- Where am I, This lesson will teach you how to use 2 VOR's to determine your exact location.
